📢 LASERWAY – Horizon Europe celebrates its M30 consortium meeting: Demonstrators around the corner 📈
This time, Tekniker hosted the LaserWay consortium for a first-hand look at the micro-drilling demonstrator: a machine meant to process 𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗶𝗲𝗰𝗲𝘀 (4500 mm x 1250 mm) with 𝗺𝗶𝗰𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 at 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗲𝗱 (>300 holes/s). The impressive system will serve the 𝗮𝗲𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 by accelerating the adoption of the 𝗛𝘆𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗱 𝗟𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹 (HLFC), a technology with the potential of reducing fuel consumption up to 9%!
Further into a sustainable future, the LaserWay microdrilling machine is also meant to produce 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵-𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗶𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿, a use case that will certainly revolutionize the way water is used as a limited and crucial resource on our planet.
During the visit, LaserWay partners also had the opportunity to visit the facilities of Fagor Arrasate S. Coop., the industrial partner responsible for commercializing the 𝗟𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗿𝗪𝗮𝘆 𝗯𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺. This massive demonstrator is at an 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲, 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁-𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 to explore use cases, with a special focus on the automotive industry, where laser blanking excels in flexibility, material and energy efficiency for small- to medium-size component batches.
LASERWAY – Horizon Europe is successfully approaching its end (December 2026). This is the time when hundreds of hours of design, modelling, simulations, and process iterations will render 𝘁𝗼𝗽-𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗿 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵-𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀.
